Meet Raven Wright, founder and CEO of Urban Nature For Kids

"My name is Raven Wright and I'm the founder and CEO of Urban Nature For Kids. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Geology and a Master's in Urban Planning from Wayne State University. My main area of focus is GIS (geographic information systems). I started Urban Nature For Kids three years ago. The idea came from a project in graduate school. is an online free information portal for children in grades K-4.

Our mission is to expose children who reside in low income communities in the state of Michigan to environmental STEM career fields. Career fields such as GIS, environmental engineering, environmental science, and geology. Games, puzzles, quizzes, and GIS courses by ESRI are all featured on our website." - Raven Wright
